Arsen S. Kitch
President & Chief Executive Officer

Career History

Mr. Kitch was elected president and CEO effective April 1, 2020. Prior to that he was senior vice president and general manager of the consumer products division from May 2018 through May 2020; vice president, general manager, consumer products division from January 2018 to May 2018. He served as the company’s vice president, finance and vice president financial planning and analysis from January 2015 through December 2017, and served as senior director, strategy and planning from August 2013 through December 2014.

Before joining Clearwater Paper, Mr. Kitch held positions including as finance director with Nestlé USA, a food manufacturer, between 2011 to 2013. He worked for KKR Capstone, an operating team that supports KKP portfolio companies, from 2009 to 2011.

    Michael (Mike) J. Murphy
    Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

    Career History

    Mr. Murphy joined Clearwater Paper as senior vice president and chief financial officer in April 2020.

    Before joining Clearwater Paper, Mr. Murphy served as chief financial officer for NxEdge, Inc. Between 2014 and 2018, he was the vice president, strategy and vice president, finance at KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation. He also held senior positions at Boise Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities. Mr. Murphy started his career as an investment banking analyst at John Nuveen & Co.

      Michael S. Gadd
      Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

      Career History

      Mr. Gadd joined the company as associate general counsel in March 2006 and served as corporate secretary since July 2007. He was elected as general counsel and corporate secretary for Clearwater Paper in December 2008. Mr. Gadd became senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary in May 2011.

      Between 2001 and 2006, Mr. Gadd served as an attorney with Perkins Coie, where he practiced general corporate law and sophisticated transactional issues, including mergers and acquisitions, securities, and corporate finance. He worked for Ater Wyne LLP and LeBoeuf between 1994 and 1995, and again between 1998 and 2000, and worked for Lamb, Leiby, and MacRae from 1990 to 1993.

        Kari G. Moyes
        Senior Vice President - Human Resources

        Career History

        Ms. Moyes began her career with Clearwater Paper in July 2013 as vice president of labor relations, overseeing the development of a multi-year labor strategy for 2,200 employees across nine collective bargaining agreements. She has also managed other key areas and projects in Human Resources (HR) and served as the acting leader for total rewards. In addition, Ms. Moyes served as the acting leader for the HR function, managing all aspects of HR including: labor relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, and talent management. 

        Prior to joining Clearwater Paper, Ms. Moyes held key HR leadership positions with Nestlé USA between 2008 and 2013. She has also held HR leadership positions with Meritage Homes Corp. and PepsiCo. In total, her 25 years of experience includes leading HR teams, compensation design, organization integration, and sales operations leadership.

          Steve M. Bowden
          Senior Vice President, General Manager - Pulp and Paperboard

          Career History

          Mr. Bowden began his career with Clearwater Paper in October 2018 as senior vice president and general manager of the pulp and paperboard business. 

          Before joining Clearwater Paper, Mr. Bowden was the president of the America’s food and beverage division for Multi-Color. He also held key leadership roles at International Paper, including the executive vice president of marketing and strategy for xpedx, formally an International Paper division. Mr. Bowden was also the mill manager for the company’s Augusta, Georgia, coated paperboard facility.
