From our President and Chief Executive Officer

At Clearwater Paper, we build responsibility into every step of our work to ensure that our people work safely, source materials responsibly, run our mills efficiently, develop sustainable products and support the communities where we operate.

While 2025 was a challenging year for our industry due to a supply-driven downturn, we stayed focused on what we can control: managing costs, serving our customers and continuing to make the necessary capital investments to maintain and improve the performance of our assets. We believe that this focus is key to the long-term success of our company.

Our commitment to sustainability aligns with these priorities, and we're pleased to report the following achievements in 2025:

We reduced our lost time injury rate by more than 50% year over year.
We reduced our safety risks by more than 20% through our aspects and impacts process.
We reduced Scope 2 emissions and integrated our Augusta facility into our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting processes.
We achieved a 6% improvement in water intake intensity, moving closer to our newly set target of a 10% reduction in water use by 2030.
We received BPI compostable certification at our Lewiston and Cypress Bend mills, which cover most of our folding carton and food service grades.
In early 2026, we launched a new lightweight paperboard option, Velora™.
We continued to support nonprofit organizations in our operating communities through the Clearwater Paper Charitable Foundation and our local contributions committees. This includes donating materials, awarding grants and bringing sustainability education to local schools.

We take our commitment to Everyday Responsibility seriously and look forward to continuing this work alongside our customers, employees and suppliers.
